Find the therapist that best suits your needs.
How to Choose a Provider
All of our clinicians use a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach. Licensed therapists provide full clinical services; interns offer an accessible, supervised route.
Unsure whom to contact? Fill out a request for any one of the providers and make a note that you’re open to seeing one of the other providers or unsure who to pick.
Neurodiversity-affirming care
Every provider on our team brings both professional training and personal lived experience with neurodiversity. We understand autism, ADHD, OCD, and related differences from the inside out -and we honor them in the therapy room.
Intern Therapy at Northwest Mental Health Alliance
High-quality therapy. Lower cost. More support than you think.
Starting therapy can already feel like a lot. Cost shouldn’t be the thing that stops you.
Our counseling interns offer thoughtful, trauma-informed therapy at a reduced rate, with something many people don’t realize is a bonus:
extra clinical supervision built in.
Interns aren’t “on their own.” Every session is supported by licensed clinicians, which means your care is collaborative, intentional, and closely guided - not experimental, not rushed, and definitely not “practice on you.”
Why working with an intern actually works
✔️ Lower cost sessions
✔️ More time, attention, and flexibility
✔️ Fresh training grounded in current best practices
✔️ Ongoing supervision by experienced, licensed clinicians
✔️ A supportive place to start if therapy has felt intimidating or inaccessible before
Good fit if:
Therapy feels overdue but cost has been a barrier
You want a therapist who’s engaged, curious, and invested
You want real skills and structure—not just venting
You’re open to growth without pressure to “have it all together”
Probably not a fit if:
You want advice without reflection
You’re looking for a quick fix with no emotional work
You’re uncomfortable with collaboration or feedback
If you’ve been thinking “I should probably start therapy, but…” — this is your sign.

Before entering the counseling field, Sammy managed a local café where she discovered her passion for helping young people thrive. Supporting her team through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic inspired her to pursue a career in mental health and deepen her understanding of trauma and resilience.
Sammy is especially drawn to trauma-focused work, including EMDR therapy, and works with helping clients heal from childhood experiences, anxiety, and the lasting effects of stress. She also works with first responders and veterans.
With personal insight into neurodiversity through family experiences with autism and ADHD, Sammy approaches therapy with empathy, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique way of being. Outside of the office, she enjoys gardening, baking, and spending time outdoors.
