EMDR Therapy Providers

Each clinician is an independent private provider business, providing services and operating completely independent from any control or liability of each other. Each provider carries their own business licenses, Department of Health mental health license and liability insurance. Each provider has their own business practices and policies. The Mill Creek EMDR Specialists website serves solely as a tool to help client find providers of EMDR therapy services and is not a therapy service itself.

EMDR THERAPY, EMDR INTENSIVES, EMDR CONSULTATION

Linda Smith, MA, LMHC

In my work, I found that one of the biggest struggles people have is with automatic reactions and negative thoughts that pop up when they get triggered. I have found that EMDR therapy is a powerful tool in helping clients who are ready to live without those reactions as well as anxiety, depression, phobias and post-traumatic stress.

Lonnie Kaman, MA, LMHC

I have 23 years of experience in the fields of mental health and law enforcement. I believe in empowering my clients and working collaboratively so you can become the most effective, best version of you. I can help you overcome vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and other stressors in your life; depression, anxiety, criminal justice involvement, substance abuse, sexual deviancy and "fit for duty issues". Let me help you to help yourself.

I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches; cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy and other problem focused approaches. Let's talk about how addictive, co-dependent patterns and other self-defeating behaviors are controlling your life.

I have extensive experience working with anti-social personality disorder and criminality. I also work with mid-life issues and job stress. I am certified in MRT, DBT and Prolonged Exposure. I am a Certified Crisis Intervention Specialist II. I welcome work with first responders, people of all cultures, ethnicities, sexual orientations and genders.

Making a career change from the world of biotech to therapy has been both a deeply personal and meaningful journey. Having spent 15 years in STEM, I bring a unique perspective to understanding the complexities of the brain and human behavior. My passion for science and psychology, combined with deep compassion and a boundless curiosity, fuels my dedication to understanding life’s complexities and the human mind, while honoring the unique experiences of all people.

As a graduate-level therapy intern, I am excited to work with individuals, couples, and families, offering a safe space where learning and inner strength can flourish for people of all ages and backgrounds. I specialize in Trauma-Informed Systemic Therapy and am currently pursuing advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), alongside Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients process trauma, anxiety, and negative self-beliefs, supporting their healing and resilience.

Fluent in both Spanish and English, I bridge cultural gaps and appreciate the nuances of living between two cultures, while honoring my heritage and navigating modern American life. These diverse experiences have shaped my resilient, adaptive, and compassionate approach to therapy, reinforcing my dedication to supporting individuals from all walks of life.

I am also a busy, working parent of two neurodivergent children, and I am personally experiencing and navigating the challenges of balancing a career, my well-being, along with the unique needs of my family. My personal experiences, combined with my professional training, have given me a deeper understanding of Autism and ADHD – insights that inform and shape my practice. I embrace all forms of being with empathy, patience, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that promotes empowerment and well-being.

In my free time (what free time?!) I find myself practicing all the hobbies that my grandmother taught me – knitting, crocheting, and working on jigsaw puzzles with my kids. I am also an avid reader (I may or may not also have a serious book buying hobby ). While I love the sunny days, I especially love the rainy overcast weather because it goes so well with a hot cup of black tea, a cozy blanket, and a good book. I used to be a long-distance runner (when I had the time for long runs!). Lastly, I have been studying German off and on for the last 20 years and hope to someday become fluent in speaking and reading it!
